Warning: Hash files ... not found

Postby Peter99 » 18.08.2014, 08:12

Hello all,

this is probably a standard question but I could not find anything relevant using the search nor elsewhere ...

My "wsusofflineupdate.log" file is full of messages like the following:
Warning: Hash files ..\md\hashes-win-glb.txt and ..\md\hashes-win.txt not found

How can I get rid of these messages or where can I find these hash text files?
One such message per installed patch makes the log file very hard to read.

Thanks for your help.

The files .\client\md\hashes-*.txt are created through the option "Verify downloaded updates" in UpdateGenerator.exe. If you don't use this option, you can suppress these warnings by deactivating the option "Verify installation packages" in UpdateInstaller.exe.

Somehow I didn't make the link between the message and the "verify" options.
Thanks a lot, harry.
