Hello, recently my older version of wsus 107 was no longer updating so i updated to the latest version 109, however I keep receiving this error when it goes to download the updates

"Error downloading / verifying updates for w60 glb. Would you like to view the log file" so I say no and uncheck that update group and try the next. this happens for each file.

In the chance my wsus was corrupted, i downloaded a fresh copy and went to download all the updates again and it gives me the same error.

Could you post a screenshot of the error inside the cmd window?

Window disappears but here is a screen shot before it disappears.

Open a command prompt and enter the following commands:

cd /d "<your wsusou dir>\cmd"
.\DownloadUpdates.cmd w60 glb /includedotnet /seconly /includemsse /verify /exitonerror


The window should stay open now.

ok so that allowed me to see the error and I know what is causing the issue.

I currently have cryptoprevent installed to prevent cryptlocker from infecting my machine as I have to visit lots of sites that are infected. without the command you gave me it was making the cmd window disapper.


I have added a security exception for your program as it copied SetFileVersion.cmd to the local user temp file C:\Users\usernamehere\AppData\Local\Temp\
