Hi there,

I have laptop running with Vista which I like to upgrade to Windows 7. I have a bootable DVD with windows 7 license, however the system does not finish the search for Windows 7 automatic Updates. I left the laptop for more than 12 hours searching for the downloads, but no success.
Now I found this WSUS offline Update application and downloaded it.
I started the service but I got no access to the server. See below text:-
Can anyone help me on this? Thanks in advance.

Do you run WSUSOU from a protected system directory (like Program Files)?

WSUSOU must be copied to a location where you have full rights to read and write.

Thanks!. I suppose that was the problem, however I copied the wsusou directory to MyDocuments.
I copied the folder to Desktop and all is okay now.
My request can be closed.
