Hello

I have been using your product for a few months now and everything has been working wonderfully until last week when I wiped and reloaded 4 laptops and 1 desktop. After reload, I installed network drivers and went straight into running WSUS and for all of the computers I am getting the same error message:

ERROR: Catalog file ..\client\wsus\wsusscn2.cab signature verification failure.

I was browsing online resources and tried everything that people suggested such as running Windows update in the background, downgrading WSUS client to an older version, turning off "Verify Downloaded Updates" but wasn't able to fix the issue.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Nothing we can do, MS distributes bad/broken/unsigned catalog files, again.

You need to retry a few times until you get a good copy. Then, everything should start to work.

A few more days have passed and I was still getting the issue even with almost every computer I was working on.

I ended up finding a workaround for this issue if you happen to be a person who is constantly wiping and reloading or updating computers like I am. I simply took a fully complete folder of WSUS offline that had everything downloaded, saved it to a flash drive, and transferred it to the computers that weren't able to pull the wsusscn2.cab signature and also Error: Download failure for dotnet x64-glb.

Hopefully this saves others some frustration of continuously reloading WSUS hoping to get the .cab file.

PS. I tried this and it has worked on multiple Lenovo's (M700, T420i, T520 T530, and T460s), 2 asus towers, and an Intel CharTec.

Some people reported, that changing the DNS server worked for them. You may try it, too.

Update:

I haven't received a corrupted wsusscn2.cab for nearly 4 months now...
