Version 10.2 file missing?

Morning all,

I have just downloaded WSUS to create an offline solution to rebuilding my PC. I have just ran the generator.
It aborts saying that the file \bin\mkisofs.exe does not exist. I have checked the zip file again and can't find it. Is it missing from the download zip?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome mobisat!

mkisofs.exe is not included in wsusoffline102.zip, it should has been downloaded by DownloadUpdates.cmd from:
Code: Select all
http://download.wsusoffline.net/mkisofs.exe
(maybe a temporarily problem, please see .\log\download.log)

Code: Select all
D:\>wget -N --spider http://download.wsusoffline.net/mkisofs.exe
Spider mode enabled. Check if remote file exists.

Update,

I tried running it again later and it worked (the app downloads it), very strange, it's running now.

Unfortunately it just sits for ages checking for superseded updates and doesn't appear to do anything else. I must learn to be patient.

What's your Antivirus program? It may be interfere in the process, causing huge delays. Try to disable it temporarily.
Other cause may be running the update Generator from a network share

All is good, it's downloaded everything so I just need to make sure I have all my other apps downloaded ready for fresh install
