Selective service packs

Postby negg » 11.09.2015, 14:08

Hi is it posible to add an extra download tab to select what service packs you want. for instance i dont wand windows 7 sp1 windows 8.1 update 1 and 3 etc....

Its very anoying updating each operating system seperatly and remembering what service packs i need. Every other week i run the program and tell it to update windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and office 2007, 2010 and 2013. I like to set it off on a morning and just leave it but cant as i need to tell it not to download the service packs for ones i dont need

1. step: please use the option "Only create collection scipt" within UpdateGenerator.exe
2. step: edit the resulting file .\cmd\custom\RunAll.cmd (delete or add the parameter /excludesp as needed)

Just for clarification: While you can prevent downloading the SPs and excluding them from created media, having the latest SP is a prerequisite for updating target machines. That means, WSUSOU does only contain updates since the last SP/big Update.
