MSSE Update Problem

MSSE Update Problem

Postby Antharro » 29.03.2015, 18:59

I've just run a routine update of the WSUSOffline files, but the downloader stopped at MSSE. So I cleared out the MSSE download folder (.\wsusoffline\client\msse) and run the download again, but get the same problem. So I unticked the MSSE box and ran it again, which has allowed me to continue downloading other updates.

Any ideas?

Delete ./client/md/hashes-msse.txt, re-enable the checkboxes and try again.

Worked great, thanks! Also had to delete hashes-wddefs (Windows Defender), then all was well. Any ideas why these two files went bad?

Usually they can go bad if there's an interruption of the script execution. Real corruption can occur if wget has to resume and MS has different versions of the files on the mirrors (very common since they update so frequently).

But now you know what to do.
