Downloading Updated from local WSUS

I am trying to download updates from our local WSUS server.
I have WSUS url in the WSUS button, but still getting an error:

Resolving download.wsusoffline.net... 81.3.27.18
Connecting to download.wsusoffline.net|81.3.27.18|:80... failed: Connection refu
sed.

Why is it going outside for download? Do i need to enter proxy as well? I have tried that as well....

Proxy request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden
2013-05-08 09:11:35 ERROR 403: Forbidden.

I guess my proxy is blocking the connection. But why do i need to go outside?

Thanks for the help.

Hello ogeccut!

Please, take a look at the Download from private WSUS server thread that was discussed just a few days ago.

Thank you. That is what i am looking for. Just to make sure in UpdateGenerator.ini file in section:
[Windows 7]
glb=Enabled
I need to add:
wsusonly=Enabled

How would i know which updates is for x86 and x64 Windows 7?

Thank you.

And one more question?

For the proxy settings is this correct:

http://userName:password@proxy.xxx.com:8080

Thank you.

It should be correct, but in the most cases it is better to use the proxy IP instead of the name.

Does your proxy allow visiting download.wsusoffline.net?

What kind of proxy is it? It may have the WGet (download tool WSUSOU uses) user agent blacklisted, or it may have have browser user agent strings whitelisted while blocking all other ones.

You need to put the wsusonly setting in the "[Miscellaneous]" section.
