Hi guys

First off - great program, have been using it for a while here as we re-use a good number of old PC's (nuke n pave) between changes. On the end of a slow(-ish) connection (but hope to get fibre shortly!) so ASUS Offline has been a godsend!

Now onto my current problem, I recently uninstalled my older version (6.4?) and installed v7.4.2 (figured it'd be healthier than just updating as it'd been a while!) the install package doesn't seem to have mkisofs.exe included in the .zip so attempting to create an ISO I've been greeted by the below screen:

The file {yourWOUdir}\static\StaticDownloadLink-mkisofs.txt contains the URL for mkiofs.exe.
Open CMD.EXE and type the following:

Code: Select all

cd /d {yourWOUdir}\bin
wget -N http://download.wsusoffline.net/mkisofs.exe

I think you mean WSUS Offline

I'd already used wget to grab the file, thanks for the speedy reply harry!

I don't remember using wget previously to fetch it, but I may be mistaken as it was a while ago!

I've got One question:
Did Ou run Download without the Option create iso and wanted to ceate an iso without Download using the Option just prepare iso?

Yes that follows what I've done...

Ran WSUS at work (Win7 32bit) to create 'USB medium' but pointed at network share. Cancelled before complete without 'Create ISO images' ticked.
Ran WSUS at home (Win7 64bit) to download all updates to 'USB medium' on USB drive. Completed successfully without 'Create ISO images' ticked.
Copied files to work machine from USB drive to network share.
Ran WSUS at work (Win7 32bit). Ticked 'Create ISO images' and verified 'USB medium' was still pointed at original location.

WSUS begins downloading all updates again. Argh!

I'll copy my home WSUS folder (rather than just the 'USB medium') over tomorrow and try again!

The USB medium and the repository are two different things. You need the ./client directory.

Yep that's what I figured! Will report back tomorrow if I have any further problems. Thanks everyone!

Then it is the Old Problem with the "Just prepare ISO" Option.
