Tried going back to 7.3.2 - same error

Have Microsoft moved anything?

The usual problem after Microsoft updates wsusscn2 database, not all servers in sync and some just not available yet.

Did you get the following error message?

If you have an older working Installation of WSUSOU, you can copy {oldWSUSOU}\bin\msxsl.exe to {newWSUSOU}\bin\msxsl.exe.

Just wait some time, then delete .\client\wsus\wsusscn2.cab and try it again.

That's exactly the message I get but I don't have an old version and I don't have msxsl.exe in my bin directory.

I'm trying to run updategenerator.exe to download the updates if that helps. Maybe msxls.exe is installed as part of that process??

AKER - Don't have \client\wsusscn2.cab

That's the file that was recently (June/July 2012?) downloaded by WOU during the first run.

OK - got the msxls.exe file via another post. and it did the trick

edit StaticDownloadLink-msxsl.txt into "static" folder.
select all and replace with:
