Hi, is it possible to download only English updates for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2?

Appears only "Global" is option - this means very long time to download unrequired languages (bloat) ...

Thanks,

No, since the Windows Vista era Microsoft does only offer language neutral (glb) updates. Since the language-specific data is organized into language resource files (.mui) there is no bloat. The big files exist only once in the packages, plus the tiny .mui files.

There are some exceptions, like MSSE and .NET packages, though. I'm sure they will be changed to glb with the demise of Windows XP/Server 2003 kernels, they are the last bastions of the old language concept.
