WOU and Microsoft Update Catalog

So I am doing a download run to check for any new updates. there are new updates that I am grabbing the links for. however there are others I only download with Windows updates or the Microsoft Update Catalog.

do you know if there is a way that can continue to get the download links without downloading them so I can insert them into my WOU?

To my knowledge, you can grab the download links from the HTML source of the MS catalog download page. For WU itself, you might get hints in the WindowsUpdate.log or CBS.log.

Easiest way would be using the WUMT (Windows Update Mini Tool). Just check the desired update(s) and use the rightmost button on the left side to copy the download links.

If you view the source code of the download page, you can extract the links from there.

oh thanks, however I can seem to find the .msu files or I am hoping it was going to be that easy.
