Failure to exclude KBs from downloading

Hi all !

WSUSOU sort-of-noob here. I have used it in the past rather unfrequently (for WinXP) and would like to rely a bit more heavily on it from now on.

I've been having issues with some KBs for Windows 7 that I couldn't exclude from being downloaded. After tweaking stuff here and there I managed to narrow down my issues to just TWO KBs which end up being downloaded / kept no matter what I do. These are:

2786081 (IE10 stuff)
3083324 (Windows update 'improvements')

This is what I've done towards excluding these from downloading:

1. edited \wsusoffline\exclude\ExcludeList-w61-x64.txt and ADDED entries for both at the end.

2. edited \wsusoffline\client\static\StaticUpdateIds-ie10-w61.txt and REMOVED '2786081' entry.

3. edited \wsusoffline\client\static\StaticUpdateIds-w61-x64.txt and REMOVED '3083324' entry.

After doing this and re-running WSUSOU I still have the following 2 files under \wsusoffline\client\w61-x64\glb :

Windows6.1-KB2786081-x64.msu
Windows6.1-KB3083324-x64.msu

As I obviously haven't done this right and/or thoroughly enough, may I ask for some advice in achieving this ...

\client\static\StaticUpdateIds-*.txt is for the Installion part.

Static Downloads are defined in \static\StaticDownloadLinks-*.txt.

In your case both Downloadlinks are listed in \static\StaticDownloadLinks-w61-x64-glb.txt.

I really can't believe that I missed THAT - and even more so, considering that I had already edited that very same file to remove some other stuff...

Looks like I'm getting old.
