Download links for Update catalog

I understand how to add additional downloads to the StaticDownloadLinks... file and to the StaticUpdateIds... file so they get downloaded and installed by Wsus Offline Update, and how to locate the full download link for things in the Microsoft Download Center (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/).

But for something, such as hotfix KB3001554, that is only available on the Microsoft Update Catalog (https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/), how do I find the full download link to put in StaticDownloadLinks...?

As far as I know the update catalog can only download updates. You can't get the link. What you can do is download the updates you need from the update catalog and place them in the correct folders, add the ids to the install txt file. What you also need to do is uncheck "clean up directories'"

I believe that should work. There are several updates you need to do in this fashion

As far as I know you can get the direct link if you watch the page source code of the catalog download page. That's how we get links at MDL.
