How to reset database of already downloaded updates

How to reset database of already downloaded updates

Postby mortod » 12.07.2011, 08:18

Here's my problem - I stopped wsusoffline halfway through downloading a large update (W7 SP1). When I re-ran the updategenerator I was not convinced that it re-downloaded that update - indeed the size of the resultant iso file is only 370MB (the update alone should be about 1GB). I tried installing wsusoffline elsewhere on the system and it only produce an iso file of 119Mb.

How can I force wsusoffline to re-download that update, or better still, how can I force it to reset its database completey?

Hi!

You may delete ...\client\w61\glb\windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe and, if exists, ...\client\md\hashes-w61-glb.txt or ...\w61-x64\glb\windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe and, if exists, ...\client\md\hashes-w61-x64-glb.txt, respectively.
