Wannacry Security Hotfix missin - KB40112215 ...

Hello,

I have noticed that KB4012215 is missing for Windows 7 and Windows 2008R2.

Please note that Windows 2008 is KB4012212 and do not know for windows 2012.


- Is there anyway to add to manually to WSUS Offline or we have to wait to be add it?

Should be part of the monthly rollup packages

There is no KB40112215. KB4012215 is the Monthly Rollup from March 2017, which has been replaced by KB4015549 (April) and KB4019264 (May). So there's no need to add this update to your machine or WSUS Offline.

And BTW, KB4012212 is the Security-Only package for Win7 and Server 2008 R2, not Server 2008.

So which option will provide us with the best protection against WannaCry - Use Security Only? Or Quality Update Rollups?

I want to know which option will reduce or eliminate the need to check for Updates online after running through WSUS Offline.

Both options provide downloads to later do the same job regarding security-related updates. The difference is that the quality rollup includes some additional updates and is one package (incl. telemetric stuff that may not be desired).
