To my surprise I was missing KB2850036 (Office 2013 SP1). Windows said that KB2850036 was about 1.2GB. I checked my WOU files and O2k13 SP1 does exist as proplussp2013-kb2817430-fullfile-x64-en-us.exe. I believe that Windows was asking for KB2850036 instead of normal kb2817430 because I have almost all of the office products installed. Office Pro Plus, Visio, Project and SharePoint Designer.
So I proceeded to download KB2850036 from the Windows Update Catalogue (http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx). The download was 4.2GB for x64 and 3.6 for x86. the problem is that by using the Windows Update Catalogue there is no download link so I cant get WOU to download it. However what I can do is "Slipstream" KB2850036 into the o2k13 x64 source files.
Has anyone else had this problem? More importantly does anyone know a work around.
as a side note I noticed that if you install a version of office and then install a different version of Visio, SharepointDesigner or Project, WOU does not install updates for them because it is assuming that all Office programs are from the same version. I have a workaround for this. it involves altering the code in DetermineSystemProperties.vbs
.\client\cmd\DetermineSystemProperties.vbs wrote:Private Const strOfficeNames = "o2k7,o2k10,o2k13"
Private Const strOfficeAppNames = "Word,Excel,Outlook,Powerpoint,Access,FrontPage,Visio,SharePointDesigner,Project"
Private Const strOfficeExeNames = "WINWORD.EXE,EXCEL.EXE,OUTLOOK.EXE,POWERPNT.EXE,MSACCESS.EXE,FRONTPG.EXE,VISIO.EXE,SPDESIGN.EXE,WINPROJ.EXE"
as always I look forward to your comments
