It was my post, and it is correct, that PkgMgr forgets to register the installed package at Windows Update.
I accidentally looked at the wrong windows (software -> installed updates) in my test virtual machine and saw these packages and deleted the post.
Now - after taking a secod look - I found out that it is correct, that PkgMgr registers the update as installed (control panel -> software -> installed updates) but does not add it to the Windows Update history.
@all
Could someone test "dism.exe" (Windows 7 and higher, Windows 7 AIK) as a replacement for PkgMgr?
Command for installing a package (cab and msu are possible) would be:
- Code: Select all
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:"<the path to the cab file>"
Is there any other possible replacement?
@WSUSUpdateAdmin
Could you please take a second look at this strage behaviour?
