If want to add these patches:
.\doc\faq-enu.txt wrote:Q: Can I download/install additional patches?
A: Yes, you can adjust how the download and update scripts behave by excluding or adding patches from download or installation. For adding updates proceed as follows:

1. Adding updates to download routines

For adding an update to be downloaded, insert its download URL into the matching "StaticDownloadLinks-<platform>[-architecture>]-<language>.txt file, found in the "...\static\custom" directory. Please don't forget a trailing <CR><LF>.

2. Adding updates to installation routines

Add an update to installation by inserting its knowledge base ID (KBxxxxxx or simply xxxxxx) into the matching "StaticUpdateIds-<platform>[-<architecture>].txt file (directory "...\client\static\custom"). Please don't forget a trailing <CR><LF>.

It's pretty disappointing after I read -> viewtopic.php?f=7&t=172

Usually my laptop, running Windows 7 x64 SP1 and Office 2013 SP x64 downloads around 800MB to 1.5 GB of total update (as per Windows update). I checked all options (for the said relevant products only) here in WSUS and it kept downloading for full 3 and half days..

The out put folder had almost 6GB content..

After I applied that to my clean installation of Windows 7 x64 SP1 with Office 2013 SP1 and went online, the Windows update still reports around 800MB of updates to be downloaded..

Ok, I understand, WSUS is not suppose to replace Windows Auto Update but at-least some relief was expected after it downloaded so much for 3 full days :(

Hi Denniss,

Thanks for your response..

By the time I post this reply and my first post, my laptop went ahead with the auto update so I cant paste the exact list of updates which was shown by the Windows update in Windows 7 windows update panel.

I guess the update history might be the history for updates which are installed by the Windows update only (not showing the updates which are installed as stand alone via WSUS offiline), if that is the case, then have a look at this list..

And presently still downloading the following list..

Seems like, it is caused by o2k13.
wsusou just installs the SP1 as the updates are not in wsusscn2.cab.
The optional Windows updates aren't that big (just one update > 10 MB according to the screenshots).

Hey Aker,

Thanks for the reply,

I am sorry to point to my original post as if you please notice, as I mentioned that since the time I wrote my first post and the last reply, my laptop downloaded most of the updates.

Check the KB numbers from the update history screens I gave..

I can see there are many updates which are more than 50MB in size, in total auto updater download total 800+MB after the WSUS offline is applied..

The 10MB you see is the present status of the system after it has downloaded all those 800MB I mentioned, which you can check from the update history..
