Habe grad versucht in einer Vista SP2 VM IE9 RC zu installieren. IE9 beta deinstalliert, dann versucht. Göht nücht... Dann manuell gestartet - und schon versucht der Installer wieder Sachen aus dem (nicht vorhandenen) Internet zu ziehen. Entweder werden die beta-prereq's ''verwechselt'' oder es fehlt wirklich was. Leider ist der MS-Installer nicht sehr redselig...

Hab grad noch mal nachgeschaut: Die Prereqs die vom WSUSOU gezogen werden und die prereqs für IE9RC sind in unterschiedlichen Verzeichnissen auf dem Server. Die rot markierte URL habe ich aus der IE9 Log-file bekommen, die stimmt NICHT mit der Prereqs Seite überein! (edit: nicht mehr markiert, URLs überarbeitet)

Sobald ich das KB2117917 von der roten URL installiert hatte, wurde IE9RC installiert. Klicke ich auf der Prereq Seite auf ''Download x86 package now'', bekomme ich eine gleichnamige Datei von einer ganz anderen URL (http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... 17-x86.MSU), die nicht funktioniert. Oi, Microsoft, was ist bei euch los?

hat eine Signatur vom 2010-08-18!

Die aktuelle Version von Windows6.0-KB2117917-x86.MSU hat eine Signatur vom 2011-01-21.

Also zunächst mal folgendes: Ich kann mit den von WOU ab r209 definierten "prerequisites" den IE9 RC sowohl unter Vista als auch unter Win7 erfolgreich installieren, auch ohne Internetverbindung (bis jetzt nur x86 getestet (VM)).

Es fängt damit an, dass man (ich) mit Firefox unter http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2399238 eine ganz andere Seite angezeigt bekomme als mit dem IE, nämlich die alte ("Voraussetzungen für die Installation von Internet Explorer 9 Beta") und nicht die neue ("Prerequisites for installing Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate"). :o

Dann bin ich im Abschnitt "Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2" der neuen Seite darüber gestolpert, dass dort auf http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2454826 verwiesen wird, während die direkten Download-Links darunter ein Paket names KB2028551 (vgl. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028551) herunterladen wollen.
KB2454826 hielt ich dabei für viel plausibler, da dort die Patches kb2028560, kb2028551 und kb2120976 als ersetzte Updates aufgeführt werden, die für den IE9 Beta noch als "prerequisites" benötigt wurden, und der Erfolg gab mir Recht.
Daher habe ich den direkten Download-Links in der Sektion "Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2" auch misstraut und habe lieber den Umweg über http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971512 und http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2117917 genommen.
Auf diesen Seiten bekommt man dann ja immer vier Pakete (Vista x86/x64 und Server 2008 x86/x64) angeboten.
Dabei sind jeweils zwei Pakete identisch, nur dass man bei den Vista-Paketen eine WGA-Prüfung durchlaufen muss, während man die Server-2008-Pakete ohne Prüfung bekommt. :lol:
Also hab' ich natürlich ohne WGA heruntergeladen. Möglich, dass auch hier noch unterschiedliche URLs hinterlegt sind, aber die Pakete sind gleich.

Lästig ist das schon, aber wie auch immer: Bei mir läuft die Installation problemlos durch.

Da kann man nur noch den Kopf schütteln...

Ich denke mal mein Problem rührt daher daß ich vorher den IE9beta installiert hatte. Irgendwas schießt da quer. Jedenfalls funktioniert bei mit die ältere Version der prereq nicht. Warum, keine Ahnung.
