Display progress for "Listing ids of missing updates"

Display progress for "Listing ids of missing updates"

Postby Evergreen » 23.04.2017, 09:53

During the UpdateInstaller.exe portion, DoUpdate, "Listing ids of missing updates (please be patient, this will take a while) ...", it would be helpful if some form of progress indicator could be possible.

WSUS Offline has been very helpful, especially with Vista (even though WSUS Vista updates may be dropped after 10.9.2). Often, I find that the "Listing ids" portion runs for 4-10 hours, and it would be nice to know if it might be "stuck" on something in longer runs. I don't like having to terminate it with \client\cmd\CleanupRecall.cmd, but I generally do after 10 hours.

Thanks,
Dan.

As the Windows Update Agent (WUA) does not report any progress, there is nothing we could show...
If you run Windows Update you won't see any progress indicator, too.

I understand, and thank you for looking into it for me.
Best,
Dan.
