Hi,

The current Static download install for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 is;
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=3387 AKA
Code: Select all
http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/B/4/8B42259F-5D70-43F4-AC2E-4B208FD8D66A/vcredist_x86.EXE,vcredist2005_x86.exe

But there is a SP1 for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 here; (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download ... px?id=5638
Code: Select all
http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/1/c/e1c773de-73ba-494a-a5ba-f24906ecf088/vcredist_x86.exe,vcredist2005_x86.exe

Also a SP1 for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 here; (X64)
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=18471
Code: Select all
http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/4/1/d41aca8a-faa5-49a7-a5f2-ea0aa4587da0/vcredist_x64.exe,vcredist2005_x64.exe

Can this be included in the next release?

The links used by WSUSOU are up to date!
They deliver version 8.0.50727.6195 (file date 2011-05-17).

The Visual C++ 2005 SP1 links are outdated, they deliver version 8.0.50727.762 (file date 2007-02-18).

The file properties of vcredist2005_x*.exe do not show the real version [6.0.2900.2180 (version of CAB Extractor)], you have to unpack the files to get the real version.

Thank you harry,

M$ are confusing, I can now clearly see that I have Three different files two of which the file properties match.

I have another program that needs a newer CPP 2005 than what is bundled in it's MSI and I need to install after.
I have the "SP1" stored with the MSI, so I started looking into what WSUS used and this lead to the confusion.
