use git and move to github.com

Hi, svn is dead and should really be avoided nowadays - you will have much more support by developers if you move over to git and publish your code to github.com.

use a public bugtracker

Postby BUGHUNTER » 24.02.2012, 13:34

many opensource projects are domonstrating, that a public bugtracker is an important piece of infrastructure that can improve software quality a lot - I see that you have an trac system already up, but there seems to be no public registration - also there are not many bugs, the system simply seems to be dead.

this is in fact very good for you, because it will make it very easy to move over to github.com - you will not have to config / admin everything yourself and can start with a clean bugtracker, too. will also be very helpful for users / developers / admins to see, which bugs are already reported / worked on / solved etc. - well, all that things that make it happen in opensource world depend on a bugtracker - there is almost no sense in releasing code without providing a bugtracker, so you should say "b" if you said "a" already!

thanks.

Hi,
