Windows 10 Home updating

So I was told by Solarwinds that Windows 10 Home can't be updated by their software because Microsoft has taken complete control of updates. Does that mean that WSUS Offline Updater also isn't updating Windows 10 Home?

If you let it work according to its name (WSUS Offline Update), then it should work.

Updates can be stopped on Windows 10 Home, too, it's just very hard.

Hi boco,
Ok, great! It looked to me like it was doing the updates, but I was concerned the MS was somehow blocking them. I use WSUS Offline Updater to quickly bring a fresh Windows install up to date, and it works great for every version of Windows before 10, so I assumed it would work with 10 as well.

Thanks for the confirmation.

WOU cannot be blocked by MS, as it actually uses WU to its advantage. Blocking WOU would mean blocking WU, and that's certainly not what they want.

Using a tool like WuMgr, (https://github.com/DavidXanatos/wumgr/releases), you do have at least some control over updates on the Home and Home Single Language Windows 10 SKUs.
