I am updating with wsusoffline successful Windows 8.1 on a Intel 7. Gen. CPU (Windows Update denies Updates on this type of CPU and Win 8.1), BUT: Office 2013 Standard (Volume License) wont be updated. Any Hints?

Does WSUS Offline detect the Office installation? Did you download the updates for Office? See also this topic viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3724.

Hello and welcome,

the hardware rule is enforced by the Windows Update Agent and not wsusou. So there is nothing wsusou can change there.
WUA enforces it in two situations:
1) searching for updates (as done by Windows Update and wsusou)
2) installation of Windows Updates.

To bypass you could create a list of all available Office Updates and feed it to wsusou. Then it will install them using static definitions.
- OR -
Use one of the wuaueng-patches done by diffrerent people.
e.g. https://github.com/zeffy/wufuc or https://github.com/fre4kyC0de/WindowsUp ... yzen_Patch (intended to be used by people, who work with cdb.exe)

.. uff, thank you for your explanations - but: I dont understand it. Patching the dll is no solution for me. Feeding the Office-Updates to wsusou ? what the hell is wsusou? I think I have to be an expert in wsusoffline..

Well, if you can install Windows updates fine, it should be possible to install Office updates, too. To investigate if this is possible, please answer my questions above.

You need to be aware that WSUS Offline quite heavily depends on Microsoft because it uses their update catalog (wsusscn2.cab). They decide which updates they pack into that catalog and which they don't. Furthermore it depends on several other Windows functions/features and services like the Windows Update Agent, WMI, Windows Scripting Host and so on.

WSUSOU or WOU are just short for "WSUS Offline Update". We do not want having to write the full name 30 times a day, sorry.
