How to find direct links for missing updates?

Postby infinitiv » 30.08.2017, 20:02

Even when I used lists from this thread I still have some updates missing. It’s OK tho, because it haven’t been updates since 2016. I’m using Windows 8.1 x64 and Office 2016, there’s list of all updates reported by Windows Update:

Code: Select all
Win 8.1:
KB2967917
KB2976978
KB3003667
KB3103616
KB3103709
KB3138378
KB3140185
KB3145384
KB3146604
KB3146751

Office 2016:
KB3191926
KB3115145
KB3115281
KB3115501
KB3141457
KB3141506
KB3141509
KB3178658
KB3178666
KB3191859
KB3191867
KB3191868
KB3191920
KB3191928
KB3191929
KB3203472
KB3213547
KB3213650
KB4011037
KB4011051
KB3178707
KB4011030
KB3203481
KB4011034
KB3178696
KB4011033
KB3213550
KB3213548

Optional updates:
KB2876229
KB4034663
KB3013769
KB3186606
KB4035038

I tried to add those updates manually, but I’m not able to find direct links for them. A few of them are available through Windows Download Center, but most of them aren’t (and I don’t know where to get links for WSUS Offline). How do you get a direct link for an update?

To get the direct links, you may use the MS Update Catalog. There you can right-click the URL from the download-page and copy the link.

Download Center? MS doesn't use that distribution method, anymore. Please try searching the updates in the MS Catalog: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/
For getting the direct download links, check the HTML source code of the update download pages.

Note that some of the updated could be superseded and be offered by WU in error (broken supersedence chain due to update cleaning etc.). They can be installed to re-register their metadata and fix the chain, but won't offer additional benefits.
