I have a brand new samsung tablet running windows 10 family 10.0.14393 and I use wsusoffline to update my other laptop running server 2012r2.
I like the idea of having only the security updates which are not cumulative, but for the windows 10, all I get is several cumulative updates as heavy as 1,1GB on the brand new windows. I did check the ''security only'' option in wsusoffline. I also check ''C++ runtimes and .net'' I run the version of 11 of wsusoffline.

So without even having finished, here I have already 5,3GB of updates which may be redundant, which is even worse when you know that I dowlanod over 4g because my adsl is too slow :D.

there are 14 updates found by the program. exemple of cumulative updates:
kb4025338
kb4022725
KB4025339
kb4025344

How do I get only security updates like for windows server 2012r2 ?

You don't. The security-only updates only exist for Windows 7/Server 2008R2 and Windows 8.1/Server 2012R2.

The switch in WSUSOU does exactly nothing for Windows 10/Server 2016.

These are cumulative patches (contain all updates released for the according branch(es)). So they will be even larger, the older the branch gets. Windows Update uses Delta/Differential techniques to minimize the download size. WSUSOU cannot use those, is they are nonsense for an offline updater.

WSUSOU contains the Build (branches):

1507 / 10240 (LTSB2015)
1511 / 10586 (CB, CBB) - to be retired soon
1607 / 14393 (LTSB2016, CB, CBB)
1703 / 15063 (CB, CBB)

Soon the Fall Creators Update will join the crowd. As I understand, retired branches are removed from WSUSOU.
