What am I missing

What am I missing

Postby stanks » 16.05.2017, 08:31

So I select all the appropriate Windows OS's. In the download, I include pretty much everything. I have 2 separate WSUSOffline repositories - 1 with 'Security Only' the other with 'Quality Rollups'.

So I run both UpdateInstaller from the Security Only and Quality Rollup repo. Both runs returns back 'Nothing to do!'.

I then do a check via Windows Updates to which I'm presented about 118 outstanding updates - despite the fact I've just run WSUS Offline about 4 times prior.

Is something amiss here?

Just a note: The majority of the updates offered by Windows Update after WSUS Offline is done are most probably optional ones. This is completely normal since WSUS Offline is ONLY about security-related updates (important and crititcal), because the MS update catalog (wsusscn2.cab) contains only such updates.

check out this list, viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4182 maybe this will reduce the amount of updates to 20-40 odd.

you didnt state what version of Windows or office you are updating. anyways the list should cover them all.
