Installing updates

Hi! I apologize for my noob question. I just discovered this today. I downloaded latest files, and updates. Started updateinstaller and after a few minutes it stopped, saying I need to reboot and recall update. Does this mean it doesn't install all updates at once?

Exacxtly. Installing absolutely all updates at once isn't possible, as some must be installed exclusively, and some depend on others. So you need to reboot and recall until it tells you it is done (note there are checkboxes that can be checked to do this automatically).

I see! And that checkbox is "automatic reboot and recall"?

You can use this checkbox, but if you don't want the system to create a temporary admin account(*), then you're better off rebooting the system manually.

*) On Win8 and later this may have some disadvantages because it installs all apps for the temporary account, which takes time and may require additional space.
