Hello everyone, first time poster here and I really need some help.

My current PC has not been updated in a long time, and for the past two days I've been trying solution after solution to get it to finally update. I'm at my wits end.

It seems this is a common problem, and I apologise if its been posted before, but I couldn't find anything directly related.

I run Windows 7 professional. SP1 is installed. No matter what I do, updates simply refuse to be installed. Regular Windows Update will always fail after a lengthy attempt at download/install. I've tried every solution on this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/hel ... d-computer and numerous others from around the web to no avail. Manual installs of individial updates will either just hang indefinitely or fail. I've turned to WSUU offline, and was confident at first, but it too is failing to install anything. Every update it tries, I simply get:

"Error: 0x8e5e0408

DISM failed. No operation was performed."

I also get warnings that KB2813347, KB2993928, KB3205406 and KB3205402 have not been found when it lists the ids.

Can anyone please advise and provide any help with this? Thank you.

Could you provide some Logs?
C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log and C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\DISM.log

Yeah, sorry, didn't know where they were stored. I can share the wsusofflineupdate but the DISM log has too many characters to post, and trying to attach it results in "The extension log is not allowed." Could I maybe PM it to you?
