Major bug with new installs!

Postby molitar » 01.01.2017, 21:50

IE 11 can not install at all until IE 9 has been installed. It took me hours to get updates working for this app to work. This was on a brand new Windows 7 Ultimate x64 install.

I've got a fresh Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64 here. Installation worked ine here. Could you post the content of C:\Windows\IE11_main.log & C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log here?

Normally the wsusofflineupdate.log appends and doesn't overwrite. Do you maybe run a cleaner tool (like CCleaner) that removes those logs?

Yes I do. I did not realize that would erase a log like that automatically.

In CCleaner, there is an Exclude settings page where you can exclude files from cleaning. Personally, wsusofflineupdate.log is on my Exclude list so it won't be removed.
