Pls. see the FAQs (...\doc\faq-enu.txt or http://trac.wsusoffline.net/browser/tru ... aq-enu.txt, respectively).
You need functioning services WSH, WMI and WUA on the target system.
For further support/analysis, you have to provide more information.

I had the same problem last night with an XPSP3 system.

Started the WMI service, no change, tried to install the scripten, already installed. WUA seems to be running...

What information would you like - hopefully, if I can find an answer, so can ptrk.mj

I'll do so next - Can't believe I missed it, I thought I read everything in that FAQ, maybe it's just too hard to read in that format.. or I'm going blind.

For those following along at home, here is the relevant section:

Q: On installation of patches I'm getting strange errors in the command line window, e. g. "C:\wsusupdate\client\cmd\DetermineSystemProperties.vbs(92, 3) (null): 0x80041014". Then the script terminates. What is the cause and how can I solve this problem?
92 A: For trouble-free execution, the script requires the correct installation and configuration of the following Windows services/components: "Automatic Update/Windows Update (WUA)", "Windows Script Host (WSH)" and "Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)". Please check first if you have restricted or even disabled these services with tools like TweakUI, nLite/vLite, XP-Antispy, XPy, Tuneup Utilities etc. If that's not the case, the cause is most probably an erroneous WMI registration. Download the WMI diagnostics tool from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en) and use it to scan you system for WMI-related errors. Hi again.

Windows Management Instrumentation, Automatic Updates services are running. Windows Script Host seems to be installed (scripten.exe pops up message quoted above).

WMI DIagnostic Tool is not starting! I tried running my own simple VBS script and it worked but executing the
WMIDiag.vbs simply does nothing. No action, no reports generated. I wonder what might be missing in OS.
