Wie bereits in viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5704 angesprochen und in Version 10.7 als Umgehung implementiert, kommt es bei den Windows 10 Updates unter Umständen zu Fehlauswahl der Update-Dateien. Bisher betraf das nur den Adobe Flash Player. Nun ist aber auch KB3172729 von dieser Problematik betroffen; dieses Update verhindert Ausnutzung einer Sicherheitslücke, die einem im Kernel unsignierte Treiber ausführen lässt.
Daher möchte ich anfragen, ob nun eine Neu-Implementierung der Windows 10-Updates möglich wäre, welche (wie die Office-Updates; ofc glb) auf Basis der UpdateID und nicht der KB-Nummer arbeitet. Dies ist (mehr oder weniger) 1:1 vom Office-Modul übernehmbar. Die UpdateIDs unterscheiden sich zwischen den verschiedenen Windows 10-Versionen (10240, 10586, 14393), sodass eine Identifikation darüber einwandfrei möglich ist

Das Problem ist doch gar nicht, dass das falsche Update installiert wird:
Das Problem ist, dass kb3172729 immer wieder zur Installation angeboten wird, obwohl es längst installiert ist und in der Liste der installierten Updates auch aufgeführt wird.
Dabei hätte eine Erkennung auf Basis der Update-ID aber gar nichts geholfen!
Zu diesem Problem findet sich aber im kb-Artikel folgende Bemerkung: "Jede Windows-Version erfordert ein Servicing Stack Update (SSU). Wenn Sie Updates mithilfe von Windows Update, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) oder dem Microsoft Update Catalog ausführen, wird SSU automatisch als Teil des Updates installiert."
Ich habe nun also das "Servicing stack update for Windows 10" (kb3173427/kb3173428) zu den statischen Installations-Definitionen hinzugefügt (
http://trac.wsusoffline.net/changeset/808).
Nun herrscht Ruhe.

M.E. ist es das Sinnvollste (um unnötige Doppel- & Dreifachversuche zu unterbinden; es werden ja noch weitere Builds kommen) zweierlei Dinge für Windows 10 zu tun:
1) dynamische Ermittlung über die UpdateID
Mit jedem neuen Build kommt bei solchen Updates ein weiteres mit identischer KB-Nummer raus. Die Try-and-Error Methode wird dann in absehbarer Zeit nicht mehr efizient sein.
2) Splitten der statischen Updates in die diversen Builds
Erstellung von .\client\static\StaticUpdateIds-w100-10240.txt / StaticUpdateIds-w100-10586.txt / StaticUpdateIds-w100-14393.txt / ...
Das ist m.E. eine halbwegs zukunftssichere Methode.
