Does your PC support and is configured for CPU Doze Mode (CPU reduce after some inactivity)?

HA! now I'm 100% certain that I was right!
Something is broken.
Today I start to download updates again by WSUSOU to refresh update if some new appeared.
And i had this same situation in downloading updates like in installing updates!
ENTER key (i don't know reason why) helped and now i know this 100%.
It no any coincidence.
I make this screen on 12:59:
Image
Like you see cmd state was hanging for about 20 minutes from 12:40-12:59.

Then after i make screen i hit ENTER once(only once) and cmd state ALIVE! really.
I was angry that i didn't record it on camera.

like you see cmd hang on:
the line: "12:40:54,40 Determined dynamic update urls xxxxxxxxxxxx"
I hit ENTER on 12:59+ and first line in "cmd window" after that was
the line: "12:43:20,11 Done."
and then the next line was from correct time 12:59+
and then next lines and rest off the download process to the end was with no problem.

i will tell this again, ENTER helped in some way. If your update/download process hang long time than hit enter(or maybe any key).
And this worked on win7x64(laptop) and win 10x64(PC) so it isn't possible that is coincidence.
Next time i will remember to record it on camera.

The strange was that the after i push Enter on 12:59
first line appear on different time : "12:43:20,11 Done."
and than next lines immediately correct time 12:59+.
so like I sad earlier this look line cmd windows hang/don't refresh correctly.

I add you the part of log file:

The only situations I can image are

1. the Doze Mode, where the CPU is scaled down on inactivity. Pressing a key simulates activity and restores full CPU power.
2. an invisible prompt (by a third party component, e. g. cscript) that will be confirmed by pressing the RETURN/ENTER key.

Ok i have recording on my PC and Laptop with ENTER key help with WSUSOU.

PC: Image
i try on end of the recording move to top and show what happend exacly after i hit ENTER(at 17:38:55):
17:34:17,64 - Determining dinamic...xxxxxxxx /////// <-in this place WSUSOU was hanging
17:36:28,64 - Done. /////// <-here i hit enter at 17:38:55 and this line appear, from here all start working again

now I have hope no more explanation needed.
I have turn off any energy saving options with hdd and usb.
turned off hibernation/sleep mode.

This same "ENTER key hit" helped me with installing update on windows 7x64
when was line:
installing update 1 form 5 (or something like that)
and this was hanging long time
i hit enter and all work ok to the end.

reclusivereclusiarch wrote:Firstly it is the RecallStub.cmd prompt. I've already set the program to auto-reboot and recall the program, but it consistently always asks me for approval to run it before it does. It is annoying as I leave several of my systems on overnight, trusting that the program will run smoothly but instead I'm encountering this problems, and it always prompts after the system restarts itself when the program prompts the system to restart.

Today I applied WSUSOU 10.5, generated yesterday, to a fresh install of Windows 7 SP1, and I have got the RecallStub.cmd prompt problem.
Then I tried WSUSOU 10.5, generated 4th December 2018, and there is no problem.

(In both situations there was an identical computer with an identical disk image loaded.
settings: security-only updates; the fact whether I was online or offline had no effect. )

I will try another download later.
