[gelöst] IE doesn't work after installing the updates

I'am still using Windows XP on my hardware and I have the following problem:

I bought my PC from DELL. If I install the updates that I have downloaded here, after this my Internet Explorer doesn't work anymore. I get the following error messages.

What is wrong? What I have done wrong?

Die Meldung mit der fehlenden oder beschädigten DLL-Datei kommt beim Hochfahren des PCs. Die andere Meldung dann, wenn ich den IE starten möchte.

Nichts anderes hatte ich auch vermutet. Da aber das Tool zum Download_zeitpunkt schon nicht über alle Updates mehr verfügt, dachte ich, es könnte evtl. die Ursache eines in 6.6.2 fehlenden Updates sein, das MS jedoch mittlerweile verbreitet.

Guter Hinweis. Dann muss ich glatt mal bei denen anrufen oder auf der Support-Seite schauen. Auf die Idee bin ich noch nicht gekommen.

Welches Setup meinst Du? Die Updates laufen bis zum Schluss durch ohne erkennbaren Fehlermeldungen (siehe wsusOfflineLog.log).

Benutzt du denn die Installations-CD von Dell oder eine eigene?

Ich denke mal daß der PC vorinstalliert war, und DELL irgendwas mit dem Branding gemacht hat. Vielleicht ist das Problem dort bekannt. Normalerweise schlucken aber OEM-Maschinen dieselben Updates wie alle anderen.

Benutzt du denn die Installations-CD von Dell oder eine eigene?

Ich benutze gar keine CD. Der PC ist bei DELL mit Downgrade-Option bestellt und geliefert worden. D.h. eigentlich ist das ein PC mit Vista, aber durch die Downgrade-Option wurde er von DELL direkt mit WinXP Prof. Ed. ausgeliefert. Dann habe ich erstmal mit Acronis True Image ein Backup des Auslieferungszustandes gemacht. Als nächstes das WSUSOfflineUpdate auf den PC angesetzt. Es ist also noch nichts anderes mit dem PC gemacht worden.

Mittlerweile habe ich das Problem noch weiter eingrenzen können. Wenn ich die Updates mache, muss man ja immer mal wieder den PC neu booten. Der IE wird gleich am Anfang zerschossen. Also gleich nach dem Installieren der ersten Updates. Ich habe mal die Ausgabe-Informationen gespeichert (s.u.).

probier doch mal die Updates zu installieren, ohne das du automatische Reboots durchführst.
Hast du denn schon einen Virenscanner auf dem System oder gehst du gleich ungeschützt ins Inet?

Eigentlich wollte ich ja nicht ungeschützt ins Inet. Deswegen lud ich mir ja auch die Updates über eure Webseite. Aber da die Offline-Updates ja nicht funktionierten bei mir, blieb mir wohl nix anderes mehr übrig. Nein eine Antivirensoftware ist noch nicht drauf.

So nun sind die Online-Updates (vier Durchgänge) alle installiert und alles läuft prima, auch der IE8. Hier mal die History der Online-Updates
