I'm new in this forum and have enormous problems with the Installation of the new WSUS 3.
It would be great if anybody can help me, I’m at the end with my ideas and my nerves too.
I have already downloaded and installed the actual WSUS 3 on my Server 2008R2. The configuration by using the wizard finished successfully.
Everything worked fine, I could see all the clients, the updates, but I did not' receive the update Status of the Clients!
I have tried everything:
.) The clients successfully received the correct Group Policy settings
.) I have tried a manual sync by using the commands wuauclt.exe/detectnow, wuauclt.exe/reportnow and wuauclt.exe/r.
The WSUS still didn’t receive any status from the client
.) I have checked the attached WindowsUpdate.log file
.) I have installed (KB2720211), that installation destroyed my complete WSUS installation/configuration!!! (actual Version: 3.2.7600.226)
If I open the WSUS, the WSUS server isn’t listened anymore!
I cannot find any possibility to start the configuration wizard!
The only possibility I have is “Connect to server”.
.) Yesterday, after updating the Net framework I had the same problem with the destroyed WSUS Installation.
