Hi!

Bei mir wird auf Windows 7 x64 mit installiertem Internet Explorer 10 fälschlicherweise das kumulative Sicherheitsupdate für Internet Explorer 9 ausgeführt (KB2817183).

Das Update-Log sieht so aus:

Auffällig ist noch, dass von WOU der IE9 erkannt wird.

Die Update-Datei für den IE10 ist vorhanden.

Die Symptome konnte ich auf zwei verschiedenen Win-7-x64-Installationen beobachten.

Liegt's nun am WOU oder an einem falschen Katalogeintrag?

Übrigens wird unter Windows 8 (x64) im wsusofflineupdate.log auch eine Internet-Version 9 angezeigt:

Wenn die Version mit dem tatsächlich vorhandenem IE10 (10.00.9200.16384) noch irgendwie korrelieren würde... - Aber so? :?

SetTargetEnvVars.cmd

dort wird für IE10 IE_VER_TARGET_MAJOR als 9 und IE_VER_TARGET_MINOR als 10 gesetzt.
Stammt vielleicht noch aus Zeiten des Preview?

Das ist wohl eine Spezialität des IE10.

So was in der Art hatte ich in Bezug auf Kompatibilitätsgründe bereits vermutet. Wahrscheinlich gibt es diverse Anwendungen, die mit der zweistelligen Hauptversionsnummern nicht klarkommen. Ähnlich ist es bei Opera, das sich seit Version 10 weiterhin mit 9.80 in der Browser-Identifikation meldet.

Ja, bei Opera steht die echte Versionsnummer am Ende des UserAgent/BrowserID Strings. Wenn es bei IE genauso ist könnte man evtl. die richtige Version da rauspulen.

Wahrscheinlich gibt es diverse Anwendungen, die mit der zweistelligen Hauptversionsnummern nicht klarkommen.
Skripte, um genau zu sein. Wär bestimmt lustig wenn IE1 oder IE0 gemeldet wird...

Denke mal daß IE10=9.10, IE11=9.11 etc. ist.

Das (Folge-)Problem dieser Sch...-Versionitis findet sich in ListUpdatesToInstall.cmd (Zeile 64).
Ich werde das beheben.

Danke Torsten,

es wird jetzt unter Windows 7 x64 mit IE10 auch das entsprechende Update installiert.

Einziger Schönheitsfehler ist weiterhin, dass als installierte Internet Explorer die Version 9 in der wsusofflineupdate.log angezeigt wird, sowohl unter Windows 7 (mit IE10) als auch unter Windows 8.
