w61 x64 enu supported?

w61 x64 enu supported?

Postby AaronTheGeek » 29.01.2013, 20:57

When I try to run the update installer on the target pc I get the following in the command prompt:

Code: Select all
Starting WSUS Offline Update (v. 8.0) at 20:01:46.62...
Checking user's privileges...
Determining system's properties...
Found OS caption: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
Found Microsoft Windows version: 6.1.7600 (w61 x64 enu sp0)
Checking medium content...
Medium does not support Microsoft Windows (w61 x64 enu).

ERROR: Medium neither supports your Windows nor your Office version.

Ending WSUS Offline Update at 20:01:46.74...

So, apparently only the glb version is supported, and not enu. Is there a way around this?

Thanks,
~Aaron

Did you download the patches for win 7 x64?
Äselect the "x64-global" box under "windows 7/server 2008r2" in updategenerator and start downloadimg the updates before trying to install them.
Global includes all languages.

Yes I did. Does it need to finish downloading all the updates before I can install?

OK, got it. I have a spotty connection so it took a while to get the whole thing downloaded. Thanks for your help.
