Please do me the favour and
I bet this won't work.
I believe that modifications have been made to your system or to your network environment between your attempts with v. 7.4.2 and with v. 8.0.

Hi!

Sorry, I feel a bit helpless right now.
I've no problems using v. 8.0 with a http proxy.
Actually, I've no further idea. :(
Maybe someone else?

Sorry & regards

I download a brand new zip 8.0 and it doesn't work.
But something is strange, if in the config of the proxy I don't insert the password, the 8.0 don't ask for the password, why?
But the 7.4.2 ask for it!

Edit : For information, with the version 7.5, I have the same problem than the 8.0.

This sounds strange, indeed.
In v. 8.0, when I configure
wou_proxy_config_without_pwd.png
(4.64 KiB) Not downloaded yet
, which results in
Code: Select all
[Miscellaneous]
proxy=http://myname:@myproxy.anywhere

in my UpdateGenerator.ini file,

I get
wou_proxy_pwd_prompt.png
(2.67 KiB) Not downloaded yet
when I hit "Start"...

Hmm...

Now it works, it ask the password, strange!!!

But my error 403 is present in the 8.0 and the 7.5.

Try and remove your username and password from the proxy settings.
I had the same problem and was able to resolve it by removing the above.

Just leave your proxy and port numbers.
Very strange indeed. it does not ask for username or password but it connects and downloads...
I was on ver 6.5 and after upgrading to v8.0 had the problem.
