For the first time ever I tried to run the update process on an XP SP3 machine unattended ( auto-restart ).
For whatever reason the update process ran into a loop, getting stuck at a faulty net framework 3.5 installation.
I had to abort the process manually.
The restart process remained active and could only be stopped by deleting the run key via Autoruns and further on deleting WOUTempAdmin as a user.
The cycling process has now stopped but still there is an attempt to logon with WOUTempAdmin at Windows start up ( could not register at domain...)
I have tried to rerun the update process ( attended ) (finished successfully), problem at welcome screen persists.
As I have to deliver the machine clean this evening, I would appreciate any help on how to kick off that logon process.
Thanks in advance
