Error running update installer

Hi

I am getting an error running the update installer

It says the script path may not be more than a 128 characters long and must not contain any of the following characters #$&*@.

How do I solve this problem.

Hi and welcome, swifttom,

please use a path that is not longer than 128 characters an does not contain one of the following characters: '!%&()^+,;='. ;)

Please advice me how to do this as I am clicking the application file that says update installer that I downloaded with the package.

Hi Tom,

the point is where you unpacked this software.
Please use a short, simple path to operate WOU, e.g. C:\wsusoffline, instead of "C:\Documents and Settings\My complete and full name + both of my grandpa's\Locale Settings\Temporary Internet Files\AE@!8421(even mor temporary)\wsusoffline".
That's what the error message wants to tell you.

There shouldn't be "blanks" in Path or Directory names.
