RIP Autopatcher... now migration?

RIP Autopatcher... now migration?

Postby rambo919 » 11.11.2017, 11:08

Autopatcher finally seems dead, neva used wsusoffline before.
Downloaded a lot of updates, don't want to download again... Can I just copy them somewhere for wsusoffline to pick up? Can I just point the app to the folder they already are?

And yes I used the search function first, maybe used the wrong terms dunno.

Just leave them in the .\client subdirectory they were downloaded to. Then, WOU will pick them up the next download run.
You can create media or copy the client directory anywhwhere you like, just don't move it away.
Microsoft update catalog: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/
Windows Install media download: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15088/windows-create-installation-media

No you misunderstand, I downloaded the updates with autopatcher which organizes the downloads with a different folder structure in a "Modules" folder. 9.2GB is not a exercise I am eager to repeat if I don't need to.

It's not clear whether or not AP renamed the files after having downloaded them from Microsoft. In any case, WSUSOU downloads and structures the files like this:
