THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN hbuhrmester!!! I just tried to use the GUI and same crash occurred. I don't have another windows PC to use but I believe my CMD must be the problem??? Again, this is how far I get from the log.

I don't think, that there is a general problem with cmd.exe. It worked fine, when streams.exe and the script DownloadUpdates.cmd were directly started on the command-line.

But I don't know, why the script doesn't get any further, if it is started from the GUI application UpdateGenerator.exe.

Well, anyway, I still appreciate all your time and energy you have given me hbuhrmester!!! THANK YOU!!! I will try later to log on as a guest and run it and should that fail I'm due for a re-image of my rig with the updates you helped create. So, all is and not lost lol!!! I will let you know how the 'guest run' goes.

Do you run wsusou from a 64bit OS?

If you manually open the cmd, please check in the Task Manager, if it is running as 64bit process (32bit: "cmd.exe *32"; 64bit: "cmd.exe").

@ hbuhrmester (whom once again I 'ENDLESSLY THANK' for taking time and space), tried it logging on as other user, got much further than previously before it crashed out. Soooo, as the MS reinstall gods demanded a re-image (srsly, if people have never taken advantage of this type of imaging tool to reinstall it would be such a tech shame) which led to being able to use WSUS Offline crash-free and ensuring the continuing spinning safety of our planet earth!!!
@ aker (whom I will 'Thank' for suggesting another possibility), I did happen to check that and it was running in x64. I believe it was just 'THAT' time to re-install Windows again, again again and again.......
