Good day great people here,

I have i doubt since the option "Use security only updates instead of quality rollups" was added to WSUS OFFLINE. Do i need to keep it marked or unmarked? what's the difference in terms of download? which one do you recommend?. I need that WSUS OFFLINE download security updates, but also other fixes like patches for system bugs, performance, etc.

I need that WSUS OFFLINE download security updates, but also other fixes like patches for system bugs, performance, etc.
Then, keep it disabled, which will give you the full Rollups. Those include all security-related and non-security updates, apart from a few exceptions (IE and .NET might have separate updates). On the downside, you have to live with the Telemetry/Spyware it installs.

I know, but i disable all telemetry\spyware that i could. Thanks for the help, i will try to have in one external drive just security updates and the other rollups.

I'm confuse again with all these newer updates.

How do i download all possible updates, should i check "use security only updates instead of "quality roll ups  " ?
for example i would like wsus offline to download the KB4038788 if possible fo example.

For Windows 10, that setting does absolutely NOTHING. Keep it unchecked, it only applies to 7 and 8.1.

The latest cumulative updates should be automatically downloaded by WOU if you do a download run.

But if i want Windows 7,8 and 8.1 updates too i should check?

I ask because i copy the updates to an external drive so i can use it in different machines with Windows raging from 7 trough 10 and is easier to install offline.

If you want the full Rollups for all OS, keep it unchecked.

Security-only are less updates than the full Rollups.
