Problems with Office update 10/12/2016

I ran WSUSOffline (latest version) tonight. After successfully processing W61, W61-x64. W100, and ofc, it hung while downloading update 1 of 7 for o2k7:

Although the log doesn't show it, the console log showed multiple retries.

After 14 retries, I cancelled by closing the DOS box, and somehow the update started again, this time processing W61, W61-x64. W100, w100-x64 and hanging while processing ofc!!!

Assuming M$'s website was the problem, I tried again at 22:59. This time it processed W61, W61-x64. W100, w100-x64, and once again hung while processing ofc, but at an earlier stage!!!

The most disturbing part of all this, is that it used 6.5 GB of metered bandwidth to download nothing!!!

No network activity besides WSUSOU. No proxy.

Is wget.exe running and allowed to access the internet?
Are you/is wget able to access the servers listed here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3863

if wget.exe wasn't running, it wouldn't have processed w61, w61-x64, w100...
There is no proxy or anything else to prevent it accessing those servers.
This has always worked before.

I just want to say, that the is no active internet connection, while the software hangs. Now I'm try to identify the issue causing this problem. A bug in wget.exe, the script or somewhere else.

So: at the moment, where wsusou does not continue: Is there network activity? Is wget.exe running? What does the command prompt say?

I went back to a previous wsusoffline folder (from a week earlier) and reran everything today without any problem. Therefore, I assume the original problem (multiple retries on the office catalog access) was due to a problem with the M$ server, and the subsequent "hanging" (looping?) due to having cancelled the earlier update midstream. Interestingly, the only difference between the two wsusoffline folders was the various hashes files (which had different file dates), indicating that everything had been downloaded when it hung. Also the problem folder still had a wsussc2.bak (?) file, indicating that the download was not completed.
