I can't seem to find out what it is exactly that "Clean up download directories" option does?

It removes all superseded, replaced or unneeded updates from your client-directory.
Wer Rechtschreibfehler findet, darf sie behalten oder an den Meistbietenden versteigern. / Everybody finding a misspelling is allowed to keep or sell it.
