No.

Could you verify the downloaded package is indeed complete and fully OK? Usually a package will be re-downloaded if the date or size doesn't match. And sometimes Microsoft has contradicting information on their mirrors causing that behavior.

It gets downloaded very long but seems to disappear then. I also tried with a new and clean directory with a fresh update generator.

Maybe a problem with digital signature verification (check download.log).
If so, you may want to turn off verification.
