Why so many more files in ofc/glb?

Hi everybody

I was using version 6.6.1 as I was then using w2k (hey dude I am very old fashioned) (also o2k3)

But now I have moved to WinXP so decided to try the latest version (6.8.2)

But this version downloaded whole GB of new files in client/ofc/glb !? What is the reason?

In the UpdateGenerator.exe I have noticed that when in Office Tab I select say "Office 2003 SP3 + Statics" (English)
then "Office Updates XP - 2010 Global (multilingual updates)" is automatically selected and then grayed out and this
is the reason of so much more downloads.

Is there some reason of doing so?

Please let me know the reason (if any), and if not then how can I avoid this much (useless?) download.

So I have to live with this huge directory now

Thanks again for your efforts though, I hugely benefit from wsusoffline as I use many PCs without Internet connection. And remaining with so slow a connection that I can afford downloads only once.
