Hello there,
this is my first attempt to write in a forum like this.
On a different PC I used WSUS offline with great success and I am thrilled about this tool; it was the only tool which solved the problem.

Now I work on my notebook (Samsung Portege z830) and realized, that I installed the user with the name "G&S". This explained the error message (TEMP path). So I changed the user name, not using any spec chars. I changed it in both areas: user accounts and computer administration. After new start: same problem. I looked into this forum and read the suggestion from "aker" to create a new Temp path and include in the list of environment vars. No success.
Then I signed in as a guest and startet the updategenerator - successfully. It downloaded all the update data (took about 25 minutes).
Afterwards I started updateinstaller - and the same error message (TEMP path) shows up. I even created a new user - no success.
By the way - I use release 11.7.2

I am at the end of my latin - so to speak. Could someone please give me a hint - I would really appreciate.

Changing the user name does not help as the user profile folder won't be renamed.

Could you tell me, how you changed the TEMP-path?
I know, that I posted at least two methods of changing the TEMP-path in the forum (the "InitializationHook-method" and the "EnvVar-method").

Please note that no amount of changing the username will actually change the user home directory name. It will always stay at the name it was created with. To get a newly named user directory, you need to create a new user with the desired name, migrate your stuff, and then delete the old user.

I created a new folder C:\TEMP and copied all the WSUS files to this path. And I changed the TEMP path in the user environment section to TEMP=C:\TEMP
Did I forget something?

Did you reboot afterwards?

Could you also change TMP?

I - again - created a new user with admin rights, that solved the problem. Notebook is up to date.
