Automagic query / download of Microsoft Updates?

Hi there,
i am trying to check if a new ms flashplayer update for win8.1/10 is out, and download the msu files. to top it off, i want to do that on ubuntu/bash via daily cronjob.
already managed to get it done for the msi files for win7/firefox/chrome provided by adobe, but microsoft catalog is giving me a headache.
since wsusoffline kind of does something similiar, is there a way to get the download link for a specific microsoft update via an unattended batch routine?
i hope i got the point accross.
a hint to the right direction would be appreciated (:
thanks in advance,
LG
